The SAVE Awards is a FUN, INSPIRING AND THOUGHT PROVOKING annual event to honor youth ages 9 -18 who are are impacting their schools and communities in positive and peaceful ways. Honorees completed violence prevention training, participated in a peace march and created a violence prevention artistic presentation about the types of violence they face and peaceful ways of resolving conflict. The event also honors students in the SAVE Students Network program whom have shown dedication, impact and personal growth.

The 2012 SAVE Awards is highlighted by an array of original presentations by youth that tackle the tough issues of street violence, teen dating violence, bullying, cultural conflict and living with the violence in their neighborhood. They tell their stories of dealing with violence, teach how to solve conflicts without violence and how to be resilient when faced with the experience of violence. Drama, dance, video, poetry and song create an evening of inspiration and is a testament of the strength and wisdom to our community's youth.
